Pray for the Philippines ❤

Hello everyone! :)

I know this isn't beauty related but I just wanted to do a bloggage on this :)

If you've been on Twitter for almost the whole day, you probably have seen the Worldwide trending topics "Philippines" and "Stay Safe" (I'm not sure if there are others) either way, there's been a non-stop heavy rain (and strong winds!) in the Philippines for the past few days. We've been strongly experiencing it here in Manila. I feel blessed for not having to experience the water going inside our house due to the fact that we live on a higher ground in oppose to those who live in the places like Marikina and those who live nearby waters/dams.

So, I'm really just here to ask for your prayers, wherever you live! I know many of my Directioner family has been with us praying and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people all around the world have left their hearts with us, as well. We need all the prayers we can get from everyone!!

In line with this, to everyone wealthy and fortunate living in Manila (or in the Philippines in general) if you could kindly donate to the concierge areas near you. You can donate relief goods such as canned goods and everything that can easily be eaten. You may also donate clothing and cash too. Schools like La Salle Greenhills, Ateneo, Reedley, Xavier, La Salle Zobel, etc., have been opened for donation dropping stations. Malls like the Ayala company malls have opened their lot for those who have evacuated from their homes, in need of a place to stay until further notice. As of today (August 7, 2012 at 6 PM) many of the cities around Metro Manila have been suspended for tomorrow. There has been a report that if you are in need of rescue, please place a White cloth on the roof of your house or simply wave a White cloth for the rescuers to see you and help you right away. We suggest you avoid rescuing people who are in dangerous areas if you are not a professionally trained rescuer to avoid any more harm.

I know that us Filipinos will never fail to smile when we look upon this hindrance. I salute all of us for trying to help each other. It's amazing, really! BAYANIHAN! :)

This is just a friendly reminder on tips and suggestions. And also, asking for all your prayers and donations. Much love everyone

#2yearsof1D

Hello everyone!

As you all know, I'm a Directioner. And 2 days ago (July 23) One Direction celebrated their 2 years of being formed. I'm a new Directioner. I wasn't there since 2010. In fact, I only became part of the 1D family last June 1, 2012 (it's recent, I know) but whatever, whether you're a new or old fan, it doesn't matter. What really matters is if you'll be there till the end (if there'll ever be an end; Zayn said "this direction has no end" when asked during an interview) I don't have the biggest merchandise collection, I haven't seen the lads, same goes that I haven't seen them in concert (besides computer screen concerts, if that counts) I haven't been noticed by the boys at Twitter or anywhere else. I'm just a regular girl hoping to get noticed by the lads, see and meet the lads, and if I'm extremely lucky, date 1/5 of One Direction.

Allow me to share a story of how every Directioner feels...
The lads have said that they would date a fan, and you know, once it's been said, it'll always give the starting mark of hopes, dreams and imagines. We always tell everyone that we would end up dating (or even marrying) the boys in the future that we would just have to wait and everything happens for a reason (you know, those kinds of things) and people just stare at us saying "good luck with that, girl" or "in your dreams" stuff like that. We act like we don't take those words seriously, but every night, when we're on our beds, thinking, I will marry one of them. Honestly, reality is slapping us already and it hurts to think about it, to be honest. But you know what, there's always a thought that pops into our minds whenever we doubt and that's "What if I'm the lucky fan?" What if I'm the girl one of them's been dreaming about? What if I'm that girl they've been searching for? It never hurts to think about it, it never fails to make us smile, anyways. So, I appeal to each and every person who isn't a fan of One Direction but has a friend totally 'dedicated' (if I should say) to the boys... Play along (haha!) it helps, really :)

So below, I've posted a picture that I edited of the boys on one of their video diaries when they were still contestants in the XFactor UK. You don't know how much those video diaries keep us happy and entertained. Funny how we never get bored, never fails to make us laugh! The message that's on the picture is my message for the lads. I know there's a 0% chance of them seeing this, but who cares. I know this post is overdue but whatever. Never hurts to post it, anyway :)

MAC Pink lipsticks

Hello everyone! <3

Personally, I've always wanted my own "signature" lipstick shade. It's like, something I'll be known for, I would guess. So, I took a visit at the MAC Cosmetics website since MAC's lipsticks are very inexpensive ($14.50) although, I believe MAC lipsticks here in the Philippines are roughly Php 1,000.00 each (you can buy at the MAC stands insides Rustan's) and even though they're affordable, the quality is really top of the bars.

In line with this, I wanted a PINK shade instead of the usual Reds (which I think is too much for an everyday wear) and Nudes. I do like Nude shades though and soon, I might change my mind and take that into consideration!

Nevertheless, I need your opinion on which MAC lipstick shade I should get! Below are pictures of the lipstick and its name.

This shade named "Angel" is something
I just recently discovered and went gaga
upon. It's a Baby Pink type of shade and
I'm not so sure of the finish because MAC
didn't have it on their website. And as far
as I'm concerned, this is also Kim Kardashian's
favorite MAC lipstick shade.

Above is the shade "Please Me" this
shade has always been my top notcher
ever since I started searching for shades.
It feels so perfect because I adore Matte
finish lipsticks because of its no shine
or shimmer and it's a long lasting type of
finish. I did hear Matte lipsticks tend to dry
your lips out, and the trick to it is to add
balm around 10-15mins before applying the
lipstick to lock moisture (which isn't so
much of a hassle since I do it anyway) and
I haven't heard of any celebrity having this
as her favorite as well!

So, those are the two lipstick shades I'm rooting for, they're very similar actually! But I need to choose one, so please tweet me or send me your votes! I shall cast them and go with the majority (reveal coming soon on this!)

Ladies/Gents, please read this!!
* I am in no way affiliated with MAC and this is not a sponsored blog post. They didn't pay/gift me with anything to mention their brand and to advertise them. It just so happens that I am gaga over their lovely lipsticks! Thank you.

A Shimmery Night (make up look)

This look was inspired by many different eye make ups I found on the internet. Originally, the real plan was I'm going to replicate this night look using the different shades of Brown, but instead, I decided to use that as an inspiration to make my own look... So let's start!

(From Left to Right)
- Start with a clean face! Don't forget to moisturize.
- For foundation, I'm using my Revlon Photoready in 005 Natural Beige.
* Make sure your foundation is the same shade as your skin color
- I have some foundation on my face. Rub it in evenly using your hands.

(From Left to Right)
- To set the foundation, I'm using my Maybelline press powder
with a powder brush instead of the regular sponge. My powder
shade is Nude Beige.
* Get a face powder that's in your shade to achieve a natural and even color.

(From Left to Right)
- To prime my eyelids, I'm using a Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
* You may use other eye shadow primers you want, no problem
with that. Just don't forget to use your ring finger when applying!

(From Left to Right)
- For the inner corner of my eyes, I used Wet n Wild's trio eye shadow
palette in I'm Getting Sunburned. I'm using the color Copper which has
the eyelid imprinted on the shadow (the one with the heart)
* I'm using the smaller eyeshadow brush to apply this color.

(From Left to Right)
- For the center of my eyelids, I'm using Victoria's Secret Sexy Spring Eyes.
- I'm using the Brown on the upper right of the palette (the one with the heart)
and the bigger eyeshadow brush to apply.
* Don't forget to slightly blend the Copper with the Brown to avoid
harsh lines. You may use a blending brush, if you wish.

(From Left to Right)
- And for the outer part of my eyelids, I'm again using my
Wet n Wild trio eye shadow palette, but now I'm using
the Pink which has the browbone imprinted on it (the one with the heart)
* I'm using my bigger eyeshadow brush to apply this color.

(From Left to Right)
- Now to make my eyes pop, I'm using my MAC Pigment Color Powder
in the shade Bronze. Apply on your upper and lower area of the eye.
* Never directly apply this to your upper or lower lashline as this is not
an eyeliner. These are powdery pigments, they may harm your eyes
if applied directly. Apply as close as you possibly can only.

(From Left to Right)
- For mascara, I'm using my Rimmel London Scandaleyes.
You may use other volumizing mascaras as you please like
the Benefit They're Real! or the Maybelline Magnum/Falsies.
* Just make sure your mascara is Black to make your eyes
pop even more and to highlight the colors better.

(From Left to Right)
- For blush and contouring, I'm using my two Clinique sets.
- For the blush, I'm using the blush in the color Sunset Glow.
- For contouring, I'm using the blush Mocha Pink.
* Don't forget, when contouring, you can use the 3E method
for a quick, easy and efficient contouring.

- For the lips, I'm using my Victoria's Secret
Big Smooch Plumping Glass Duo in the color
Nude. But for this look, I only used the Plumper
to plump and shine my lips.
* I suggest you apply a coat of any non-tinted
lip balm before adding any other product for
the lips to ensure moisture. Lip balms with SPF
will be much better. For this look, I'm using my
Kiss Kiss Balm Balm to moisturize my lips.

READY TO SEE THE FINISHED LOOK?

This look will work best during the night rather than the day. You may add more mascara if you're going to a party or anything like that. You may change the colors if you wish, as long as the inner and outer parts of your eyelids are in a shimmer finish while the center is in matte finish to achieve an elegant look. Don't forget that if you're going to use a different set of colors, you should make sure that they look good combined and when you blend the colors (to avoid harsh lines) they look flawless! For the lips, you may freely use any other color as long as it fits. I suggest you try to avoid matte finish lipsticks, if avoidable to keep the shimmery effect for night use.

PLEASE READ: I indicated the price for your reference. They're not in any way meant to brag how much a certain make up costs. They're in different currencies because I got them in different places. The make ups without prices are gifts from relatives and friends. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks everyone! I hope you guys enjoyed my first make up tutorial! Don't forget to send me a picture of you with the look if you decide to try it out, I would love to see that! :)

Much love <3 xxx

House of Chanel ❦

Lately, I've been obsessed with Designer handbags. Designer handbags are an investment, let's get that straight. They cost a fortune which a lot of people can't afford. But the quality of Forever 21's $25 bags to Louis Vuitton's $1500 is just as much as its price. The durability of Designer handbags will last you forever, and I mean that. You can definitely pass it on to your kids and probably to their kids, as well.

And in line with this, I would say one of my favorite luxury brand would have to be Chanel. I know that almost all designer handbags are sophisticated and very classy but the big difference that I really like, is that Chanel adds a little girly touch to their bags. It's very girly-vintage, if that makes sense. It's probably just me though, but if you feel the same way then kudos to you!

For the past few days, I've been searching around the internet and watching YouTube videos on reviews, unboxing and prices of Chanel handbags. I heard they do price hikes every so often, which is insane because they're already expensive enough but for some reason, people just keep coming back to Chanel. Anyways, I've been doing all those research simply because I want one. I've never had a Chanel bag and soon (hopefully) I'll be purchasing my first one. I'm quite torn between the Petite Shopping Tote and the M/L flap (or the Jumbo flap) although, I'm very certain to be getting it in Caviar leather simply because it's said to be sturdier and less prone to scratches or imprints and the likes. I've always wanted the Lambskin though but it's such a high maintenance leather, it's very prone to stains and dirt and it's like you always have to look after it and seriously, if you're going to invest on a Designer Handbag, you better be sure you'll get your money's worth, so I've fully decided on the Caviar. Now with the color, I've always been fond of White/Beige bags, so I thought it won't be so hard of a decision until I've once again had the "it's an investment bag" so now, I'm having second thoughts with my preferred choice of color. I feel like Black is always a staple color and it's an essential to own a Black bag. And since again, this bag is something that will cost me fortune and will leave me making every cent important, I need to think twice with the colors. I guess it helps to think that since I'm getting the Caviar leather (and I do prefer the Lambskin) White/Beige will make the pebbly look of the Caviar less noticeable in oppose to getting the Black, which is extremely seen :)

Anyways, below I have another board which I made that consists of the two Chanel bags I'm opting. The color choices I have are also posted. I need your opinions on this, so send me a review or tweet me what you think! :)

The Amazing Spiderman

We went to Shangri-la mall today to have lunch at Cravings. I ordered this pasta (which is extremely good!) I'm not positive with the name of the dish but it was linguine pasta in tomato and herb sauce with slightly crusted fish on top, if you're a pasta and fish lover like me, it's certainly something you'd wanna order!

So about the movie, it was amazing! We watched it in 3D which was okay, although I would have preferred to have watched it on High Definition instead since I'm not really a big 3D fan and it makes me dizzy, same with the fact that Shangri-la's 3D glasses are extremely painful when worn.

Nonetheless, the movie's worth watching! The love side of the movie was a little sad though, but I don't wanna seem like a spoiler, so I'll stop now. You guys should watch it and let me know your reviews about it! :)

OOTD:
- White shirt from H&M
- Purple shorts from Forever 21
- Dooney and Bourke bag from the US
- Sandals from Cole Vintage
- Purple scarf from Versace

Thanks guys! Love you all xx
